Pōwehi
The Embellished Dark Source of Unending Creation
“Pōwehi” is a Hawaiian word meaning Embellished Dark Source of Unending Creation, originally given to the M87 black hole—the first black hole ever photographed and the core of the giant elliptical galaxy in the Virgo constellation. In Virgo, any M87 staker ranked within the top 87 positions earns the title of Pōwehi.
Pōwehi are the exclusive creators of proposals within the Virgo DAO, embodying the spirit of continuous creation, but cannot vote on them—voting power is reserved for the Halo, ensuring a balance of creative and collective governance.
