# Treasury

**Virgo’s immutable treasury collects service fees from users of the Messier applications and can hold any ERC-20 token in unlimited quantities.** The only exception is ETH, which is capped at 87 tokens to maintain protocol balance.

**Any ETH exceeding this cap automatically triggers a smart contract that performs a buy-and-burn of the M87 token, creating ongoing deflationary pressure and reinforcing value for the community.**
